O’Day sweetens Hershey supply chain

Global - Confectionary giant Hershey has appointed a new head of global to assist the company's supply chain revamp.

Terrence O'Day joins Hershey as senior vice president of global operations and will oversee the development of a more efficient supply chain, an area that has been identified as a strategic move to maintain Hershey's competitive edge as the global market slows.

"Terry will lead our continuing efforts to improve the competitiveness of our operations and supply chain," says Hershey's president and CEO David J West.

"Terry's leadership experience in a wide range of international manufacturing environments will enable Hershey to develop a flexible, cost-effective supply chain to meet the needs of our global consumers."

Prior to Hershey, O'Day served as executive vice president and COO of Mannatech, a global nutritional supplement and skincare company. HE was also vice president of operations of refrigerated foods at Conagra Refrigerated Foods companies where he was responsible for 28 manufacturing and 13 warehousing facilities.
