Unilever global supply chain head moves to Estée Lauder

Global- The Estée Lauder Companies has announced Gregory Polcer as the new executive VP of global supply chain. He will direct the company’s end-to-end supply chain including procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance, and logistics operations.

Polcer bring with him 30 years of industry experience. He served most previously as the senior VP of supply chain at Unilever. He led the development of a corporate-wide initiative for processes and designed a project plan to create a center-led procurement capability for the company.

Polcer said, "I am delighted to join The Estée Lauder Companies with its outstanding reputation, global leadership position and strong brands. I look forward to working closely with William Lauder, Fabrizio Freda, and the leadership team to play a role in fostering greater integration, driving down inventories and improving efficiency across the company's global supply chain capabilities."

Polcer will succeed Malcolm Bond, who was the executive VP of global pperations since July 2004. Bond, who will begin his transition into retirement, will be working closely with Polcer in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.
