Damco makes new appointment
New Zealand - Damco said newly appointed MD Willie van Heusden will oversee all aspects of the logistics and freight forwarding business in the company's New Zealand operations.
Van Heusden joins Damco from Schenker NZ where he was general manager of its Auckland operations from 2000-2007. He is also the president of Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association in New Zealand.
"As president of the Customs Brokers and Freight Forwarders Association and a frequent speaker at trade conferences, Willie is n active member of the local industry and has a thorough understanding of its challenges. His knowledge and expertise will increase Damco's capabilities to deliver the best solutions that meet our customers' needs," said Tony Hotine, CEO of Damco Asia Pacific.
