Japan - The procurement services manager will lead the Strategic Procurement Sourcing team based in Japan and will be responsible for delivering value and competitive advantage for our business partners through world-class procurement solutions.

Role description:

The procurement services manager will lead the Strategic Procurement Sourcing team based in Japan and will be responsible for delivering value and competitive advantage for our business partners through world-class procurement solutions.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

• Partnering with other procurement service centres across Asia in order to ensure the smooth migration and ongoing optimization of transactional processing and help desk activities ensuring a seamless service to customers
• Driving strategic plans in support of local, regional or worldwide opportunities and objectives. With an additional responsibility of hunting for new projects for the market
• Extensive Stakeholder management
• Directing the implementation⁄execution of the proposals, strategies, initiatives, contracts⁄programs for the most complex, high risk goods and services, typically having little or no precedent
• The development and presentation of analysis to assist the customer⁄client in accurate business decisions and directions
• Recommends and implements the methodologies and processes to achieve the organization's strategic plans and Express' revenue and profitability
• Improve Procurement Services' control and compliance environment
• Acting as a resource to organization and senior management across multiple functions, divisions and geographic locations

The role will also require close co-ordination with the Regional Procurement Services Team to ensure consistency of service and minimal risk exposure to the business.

Japanese speaking Procurement Services Manager required to lead the Strategic Procurement Sourcing team based in Japan and will be responsible for delivering value and competitive advantage for business partners through world-class procurement solutions. This position shall lead and coach the Procurement Consultant in the sourcing, procurement, and contract development of multiple commodities as well as management of the relationship with the client's diverse customer base.

Requirements:

The role requires someone with extensive, broad based business experience in procurement, commodity related experience and related functions.

Strong technical procurement knowledge is mandatory and the successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of global cost and price analysis techniques, activity based costing methodology, proposal⁄contracting skills, project management, business management and strategic commodity⁄supply line management techniques.

Salary range: ¥10M -12M
