DPWN renamed Deutsche Post DHL
The new name represents clear structures, increased cooperation and mobility within the group and integrated solutions for its customers, said Frank Appel, CEO of Deutsche Post DHL.
The company has been reorganised at the corporate level into two sectors: Deutsche Post being the mail business, while DHL operates the rest of the company's services. This includes DHL Express, DHL Supply Chain/CIS and DHL Forwarding/Freight.
Making this endeavour is crucial in maintaining long term relationships with employees, customers and shareholders while unlocking Deutsche Post DHL's potential to increase organic growth, Appel said in a statement.
DHL said the Strategy 2015 initiative aims to generate an organic growth of between 1-2 percentage points above the market average, while maintaining strong cash flow and short term costs reduction for the company.
The initiative is also targeting non-operating cost savings of approximately US$1.29 billion ($1 billion Euros) by the end of 2010.
